Peace: The Course. 10 weeks.
Milford on Sea & Ringwood
Mindfulness & Meditation for Restless Minds & Heavy Hearts
Science-led. Human-kind.
A 10-week, trauma-informed mindfulness and meditation course for people living with anxiety, stress, depression, (c)PTSD, and ADHD/ND minds.
If you’ve ever tried mindfulness and thought, ‘This makes me feel worse, you’re not alone.
A lot of standard meditation advice assumes your nervous system already feels safe enough to slow down. But if you’re anxious, traumatised, burned out, depressed, or neurodivergent, being asked to sit still and focus on your breath can feel impossible, and or even make you feel more anxious.
PEACE is designed for the people who didn’t fit the usual approach.
This course teaches mindfulness and meditation as practical, everyday skills: not just empty mind, not calm at all costs, and not something you have to be good at. We work with the science of the nervous system, the psychology of attention and emotion, and a gentle thread of spirituality as meaning, presence, and connection, always offered as try this if it fits.
Who PEACE is for
PEACE is for you if:
your emotions and reactions can take over before you can stop them.
you spiral into overthinking, catastrophising, or ‘disaster movie mode’.
focusing on the breath or sitting in silence makes you feel panicky.
you feel restless, shut down, numb, overwhelmed, or easily triggered.
you want tools that work in real moments like relationships, work stress, parenting, decision fatigue.
you want self-trust, presence, and a calmer inner world, without blame or pressure.
Whether you attended the A Little Peace taster workshop or you’re joining fresh, you’ll be supported.
What You’ll Learn And The Change You Can Expect
Over 10 weeks, you’ll learn to:
recognise early warning signs that you’re about to react or spiral.
interrupt the spiral and come back to objectivity and choice.
reconnect to your body safely for presence and groundedness.
shift your state using a personalised toolkit (because one technique doesn’t suit everyone).
understand what mindfulness really is: awareness, acceptance, and the ability to centre yourself.
practice in multiple ways; seated, moving, eyes open, eyes closed, breath-based or non-breath, sense-engaged, peaceful.
build a small, realistic daily practice so you can access regulation when life gets stressful.
improve sleep and experience real glimpses of peace, ease, and ‘no-mind’.
feel kinder towards yourself, because this isn’t about fixing you, it’s about supporting you and your nervous system.
Finding Peace
Remember how it feels to simply ‘Be’.
What Each Session Is Like (90 minutes, in person)
Each week includes:
a short mini-lesson (science, psychology, and optional spirituality- clear, simple, relevant and applicable. Understanding supports experience change.
guided mindfulness/meditation practices with choices and adaptations. You will not be left to manage alone.
gentle movement options (stretching, walking, even swaying, no forced stillness).
co-regulation skills (how to settle with support and build safety-in-self).
a practical toolbox moment you can use immediately in everyday life.
a simple weekly PEACE card you take away to use to reduce overwhelm and help you practise.
Trauma-Informed By Design
PEACE is built around nervous system safety and personal choice:
eyes open is always welcome.
breath-focus is optional (we use multiple non-breath anchors too).
you can move, pause, pass, or step out at any time.
gentle co-regulation support is available with consent and clear alternatives.
crying is allowed; discomfort named; nothing to be performed or critiqued.
No blame. No shame. Everyone welcome exactly where they are.
Home Practice (tiny, realistic, effective)
You will not be asked to meditate for 30 minutes a day, sitting crossed-legged on the grass. Instead, you’ll learn tiny practices (30–90 seconds) that you can repeat throughout the day plus an longer short sit/walk practices, for when you feel more confident.
This is how change sticks, especially for anxious and ADHD brains: small repetitions, done often, without pressure.
Important Note About Support
PEACE is therapeutic and trauma-informed, but it isn’t a replacement for therapy. If big things arise, you’ll be supported in the room and signposted to additional support. Optional 1:1 sessions are available for catch-up or deeper support.
About Me and Why I Can Help
As someone with decades of anxiety and depression in my history, I know how you feel. Pounding heart, churning stomach, perpetual loop of doom-laded thoughts: sadness about the past and fear of the future. I was that person.
As a healed psychologist, ex-scientist and trauma-informed therapist, I know how you will feel when you understand the why and use the how of feeling safer. Calm, secure, confident, ‘life is an adventure I want live’. I am that person now.
And I want to share it with you, as a warm, grounded, practical and spiritual practice. This course shows you to how to improve your mental wellness, but not in a way that feels too heavy.
Note: PEACE is therapeutic and trauma-informed.
