A Little Peace: The Workshop

For Restless Minds & Anxious Hearts

Have you ever found yourself asking for just that? A little peace from the thoughts that crowd your head and stop you moving, planning and being the way you want to? Not even a silent mind, simply some space from the mental loop that keeps you stuck, overwhelmed, and unable to do life the way you know you could - if it was just a little quieter and under control?

If you’ve tried mindfulness apps, ‘just breathing’, sitting still, clearing your mind and it either didn’t work or actually made you feel worse, this is for you.

What This Is.

PEACE is a trauma-informed, ADHD/ND-friendly introduction to mindfulness and meditation that’s rooted in nervous system understanding - not willpower, perfection, or being quiet.

This isn’t superficial. It’s rooted in science (psychology, biology, chemistry) and it also makes room for the spiritual part - that feeling of reconnecting with your human-ness, your connection to the energy of the universe, and most importantly, meeting your true self again underneath the noise created by the life you’ve experienced.

Who It’s For.

Anxiety, stress, depression, grief, ADHD/ND (c)PTSD: busy minds, worried hearts, stuck patterns. It’s for anyone who knows mindfulness would help, but hasn’t found a way it actually sticks.

What We’ll Do in the Taster

In this 90-minute session you’ll be introduced to:

  • Why your mind is busy (a simple nervous system explanation in plain English)

  • What mindfulness and meditation really are (hint: it isn’t eating without TV, or clearing your thoughts)

  • Two or three short guided trauma-informed practices with options (eyes open, movement allowed, breaks welcome)

  • How to work with restlessness, overwhelm, rumination, the inability to feel quiet and fear of silence.

  • A few tiny anchors you can use immediately in real life (10 seconds / 2 minutes) when you feel unable to control what’s happening.

Why This Taster Alone Will Help

You’ll leave with:

  • a clear understanding of why meditation has felt hard, so you stop blaming yourself.

  • at least two practices that feels doable for your nervous system.

  • a simple plan to start using mindfulness in daily life without forcing calm.

  • my details to call on me when you need to.

What if I Feel Pressured or Stressed?

You won’t be judged for fidgeting, getting emotional, feeling awkward: there is no ‘doing it wrong’. Emotion (Energy in Motion) is natural, expected and often the way to letting go of stored and blocked energy. During the practices you can close eyes, or keep them open. You can move. You can step out and come back.

About Me and Why I Can Help

As someone with decades of anxiety and depression in my history, I know how you feel. Pounding heart, churning stomach, perpetual loop of doom-laded thoughts: sadness about the past and fear of the future. I was that person.

As a healed psychologist, ex-scientist, coach and trauma-informed therapist, I know how you will feel when you understand the why and use the how of feeling safer. Calm, secure, confident, ‘life is an adventure I want live’. I am that person now.

And I want to share it with you, as a warm, grounded, practical and spiritual practice. This taster workshop introduces you to how to be serious about your mental wellness, but not in a way that feels too heavy.

Note: PEACE is therapeutic and trauma-informed.

You would be invited to PEACE, the 10-week Course, or 1-1 sessions if you prefer.
